The Keyu-Seobase Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to serving vulnerable populations and bridging the gap in access to care, awareness, and community support. Founded on compassion and a deep sense of responsibility, our mission is to bring hope and healing to underserved communities both in the United States and Africa.
We focus on areas of urgent need that are often overlooked, including:
Neonatal Care Support
Many families in underserved communities struggle to access safe and adequate neonatal care. We advocate for better systems, provide education, and raise awareness on how to protect newborns and reduce preventable infant deaths.
Maternal Mental Health
Pregnancy and motherhood come with emotional and psychological challenges that are rarely addressed, especially in low-resource settings. We help mothers navigate postpartum depression, anxiety, and emotional health with dignity and care.
Teenage Pregnancy and Youth Mental Health
Our foundation addresses the realities faced by young people, especially teenage girls, who are at risk of pregnancy and emotional breakdowns. We provide education, counseling, and support systems to help them move forward with strength and hope.
Mental Health for Migrants and Underserved Communities
Migrants often face isolation, cultural displacement, and overwhelming stress that can lead to mental breakdowns. We create safe spaces for dialogue, raise awareness, and connect them to resources and support.
Our Approach
At Keyu-Seobase, we believe that awareness + access + community support = lasting change. Our work is grounded in these pillars:
Awareness and Education
We produce resources, host workshops, and run awareness campaigns to help families and communities recognize issues like postpartum depression, teenage mental breakdowns, and maternal health challenges.
Support and Intervention
We provide guidance, peer support, and referrals to professional services for those who need immediate help. Our aim is to ensure no one feels alone in their struggle.
Community Engagement
Through local outreach, partnerships, and grassroots initiatives, we ensure that the voices of vulnerable groups are not only heard but acted upon.
Advocacy
We push for better policies, stronger community structures, and recognition of maternal and youth mental health as public health priorities, especially in underserved and rural communities.
Why We Exist
We exist because silence around maternal and youth mental health continues to cost lives.
We exist because underserved families deserve dignity, care, and opportunity.
We exist because no one should have to fight their battles alone.
