Motherhood is a unique journey, and for teens, it can be especially challenging. Offering mental health support allows teenage mothers to embrace their role with confidence, resilience, and love.
Expectant mothers often experience a whirlwind of emotions during pregnancy. By supporting their mental health, we help them better care for themselves and their growing babies, ensuring both emotional and physical well-being.
Midlife crises are moments of deep reflection, transitions, and sometimes doubt. Emotional support is essential to help men and women rediscover their purpose, overcome challenges, and find clarity during this significant phase of life.
Suicidal thoughts are on the rise, with nearly 13 million adults (5.04%) reporting serious thoughts of suicide last year. According to Mental Health America’s (MHA) latest analysis, nearly 60 million adults—or 1 in 4—experienced a mental illness in the past year, while 2022 saw the highest recorded number of suicides in U.S. history. Our youth are also affected, with one in five teens experiencing major depression and over 3.4 million having serious thoughts of suicide.
Beyond mental illness, substance use disorders impact more than 45 million adults and 2.3 million youth. Yet, barriers like cost and lack of insurance continue to leave many untreated. A shortage of mental health providers further complicates the situation, with millions living in areas lacking adequate care.
In this time of global “polycrisis,” the need for mental health care is more urgent than ever. Let’s prioritize mental health across all life stages empowering teenage mothers, supporting prenatal moms, and guiding those navigating midlife challenges to break free and thrive. Together, we can build a world where mental health care is accessible for all.
